The Norwegian Savings Banks Association is promoting accessibility and financial inclusion, through a number of tools and services, such as Finansportalen.no, Educational booklets on economics, and an ongoing cooperation with the Red Cross.
  • Finansportalen.no

  • Finansportalen.no is a service from The Norwegian Consumer Council, and its primary goal is to enable consumers to make good choices in the market for financial services. The portal is a tool that helps you compare financial industry products delivered by banks and insurance companies - both prices and terms. Finansportalen is based on a comprehensive cooperation between the financial industry and the Consumer Council.

  • Educational booklets on economics

  • Finance Norway has made booklets with economic advice focused on parents and teachers, educational material for secondary schools together with Junior Achievement - Young Enterprise Norway ( JA-YE) and educational material for advanced level.

  • Cooperation with the Red Cross

  • One of Finance Norway’s members has engaged in close cooperation with the national Red Cross. The main target groups are users of the Red Cross’ various initiatives, including single parents, women with immigrant background and persons on the Network After Imprisonment scheme. Standardized courses in personal finance have been developed, and the banks’ employees volunteer to share their knowledge with relevant groups in local communities all over the country. The bank’s initiative is based on a firm belief that sufficient understanding of the basic principles of personal finance is a prerequisite for being included in society and getting on with your life.
