EBOe has received the Social Innovation & Future Challenges award for its Social Banking activities from TRIGOS, the most respected competition in the area of corporate social responsibility (CSR), sustainability and social innovation.

EBOe received TRIGOS 2018 award for Social Innovation & Future Challenges, being recognized for its social banking activities, such as microloans, cooperation with social entrepreneurs and banking products for NGOs. Furthermore EBO was awarded not only for supporting social innovation, but also for handling its own business responsibly and sustainably, following the commitment of Erste Group to the UN Global Compact. Out of over 2000 submissions and 125 nominated companies, the jury comprising of Caritas, Industriellenvereinigung, Global 2000, respACT, Umweltdachverband, Red Cross and WKÖ, selected five winners. EBOe was one of the five finalists and the only large enterprise that received the award. “TRIGOS is like an Oscar for socially responsible businesses in Austria.
