In 2014, Bankia implemented an Employment Support Plan for the bank’s customers who were unemployed and in a situation of social
vulnerability. The Plan was launched in May 2014, and offered to more than 4,000 customers in this situation.
Customers are offered training and an active job search programme lasting six months and divided into three phases:
- Orientation
- Support and training
- Activation, consisting of an active search for job offers or setting up a business plan
Altogether, 1,344 Bankia customers in 45 provinces registered for this programme, of which 878 are in training. On 31st March
2015, 242 Bankia customers had found work thanks to this programme, representing 27% of the total.
