Bankia employees collaborate actively, and in their free time take part in different volunteer work and awareness-raising activities organized by the bank. In 2014, Bankia organised 64 days of volunteer work, timely and continuous, all over Spain, with 456 employee volunteers and their families.
Among them, we have the permanent volunteers of ‘Enseña lo que sabes’[Teach what you know], in which 36 voluntary workers from Bankia collaborate with Fundación Randstad in providing workshops on Financial Education and Financial Management for people with disabilities. In 2014, a total of 39 workshops were organised all over Spain, with 282 people trained.
Bankia’s volunteers are also permanently committed to the Madrid Food Bank where a group of 40 volunteers take turns every Saturday of the year to help with the classification of foods at the warehouse the NGO has in this city, and from which it distributes food to soup kitchens and primary care NGOs in this community.
