BMN contributes to the promotion of Financial Education in various ways. The Department of Education and Universities has promoted
a collaboration agreement with the Region’s Official School of Economists and
Banco Mare Nostrum Caja Murcia for the
promotion and improvement of financial literacy and education among young people and adults so they can develop entrepreneurial
skills and abilities.
This series of talks, aimed at students in upper secondary education, will be held in the
BMN CajaMurcia auditorium. The
aim of these talks is to provide students not only with knowledge related to money and transactions, financial planning and
management, financial risk and environment, but also knowledge related to marketing and advertising, Corporate Social
Responsibility, as well as the abilities and skills required by an enterprising individual in their daily life.
In parallel to these talks, the
II Cycle on Economy and Films is also organised.
In addition, BMN has held 21 storytelling performances which have been attended by over 5,000 schoolchildren, where the purpose
was to learn how to save.
Through storytelling, small children learn how to recognise everyday situations involving money and deal with responsible decision
making related to consumption and saving. At the same time, they identify values that are necessary for our society.
