CatalunyaCaixa Charitable Cards

CatalunyaCaixa has launched a Charitable Cards Initiative that enables cardholders to support local, non profit organisations dealing with social activities.
CatalunyaCaixa has launched a Charitable Cards Initiative in order to support local, non-profit organisations dealing with social activities. 0,10% of the total amount of the cardholders’ purchases will be earmarked for this aim between April 2013 and March 2014.

Non profit organisations from Catalonia, Madrid or Valencia can participate. The funded projects must fall under one of the following topics:
  • Poverty: focus on basic needs and assistance to the most vulnerable groups.
  • Health: sensory, psychological, organic intellectual and physical impairment; degenerative, rare and chronic diseases; Research & Development.
  • Education and training: school support for children and youth; training for employment skills.

The cardholders will vote for which project they wish to grant funding in their respective region. The three most voted projects in each region will receive the funding.
